Grievance of the petitioners arises out of inaction of the respondents despite their having filed a representation qua

providing them certain service benefits which includes seniority, correct pay fixation and monetary benefits arising therefrom.

Learned counsel for the petitioners at the very outset, states that petitioners are sanguine that if the pending representation is taken up by the competent authority and administrative orders are passed in accordance with law, they would be meted out with favourable treatment.

Learned counsel for the petitioners further argues that similarly situated other persons who are also serving as teachers and were selected in the same selection process were accorded the benefit of step up of their pay including other benefits as being sought by the petitioners herein.

In the premise, without commenting on the merits of the case and the submissions of the learned counsel as noted hereinabove, the writ petition is disposed of with the directions to the competent authority of the respondents to decide the pending representation as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law.
