Petitioners are present in person and have been duly identified by their counsel.

This writ petition has been filed by petitioners seeking protection from the private respondents Nos.5 to 9 as they are

apprehending danger to their life and liberty at the hands of private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are major and mature enough to take decisions of their life. He further submits that petitioner No.1 was married to respondent No.5 and out of this wedlock, one child was born, who is presently residing with the petitioners. It is further submitted that petitioner No.1 was tortured and harassed by her husband so she left her matrimonial home along with her child. He also submits that the petitioners have been known to each other and having love and affection for each other and therefore, they decided to live together. They have also executed an agreement of live-in-relationship on 02.02.2024. Learned counsel further submits that petitioners are receiving continuous threats from the private respondents, so they prayed for protection.

In view of the factual averments, petitioners are directed to file appropriate application seeking protection before the respondent No.4 and the respondent No.4-Station House Officer, Police Station Kaman, District Deeg is directed to provide protection to the petitioners, if any application is filed before him and he would ensure that no harm be caused to the petitioners.

The criminal writ petition is, accordingly, disposed off.

It is made clear that this order shall not prejudice/affect any other legal proceedings initiated between the parties.
