The instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking directions to the trial court to expedite the proceedings.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that cognizance was taken against the accused-respondent by the learned trial court on 29.09.2021 on the basis of complaint which is filed by the petitioner. He submits that accused-respondent has already put in appearance on 09.11.2022. He submits that on 14.06.2023, last opportunity was granted to cross-examine the petitioner. It is

further submitted that petitioner has already been cross-examined by the accused-respondent and has completed the evidence. Thereafter, case was fixed for examination of the accusedrespondent under Section 313 Cr.P.C. He submits that in these circumstances, trial court should be directed to expedite the proceedings.
Considering the limited and reasonable prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is disposed of with the direction to the trial court to expedite the proceedings and make all endeavour to conclude the trial at earliest.
It is made clear that no unnecessary adjournment shall be granted in this case.
With the aforesaid directions, this criminal misc. petition stands disposed of.
