Petitioner has preferred this habeas corpus petition seeking production of corpus stating that corpus is living in live-inrelationship with petitioner and she has been illegally detained by her parents.

Corpus has been produced before the Court. Report was sought from Bhagwan Mahaveer Psychiatric & De-addiction Centre. As per the report, corpus was in depression and she has been discharged from the hospital and has been advised medical care at home itself.

We have interacted with the corpus. She has clearly stated before the Court that she wants to stay with her parents and she is not in any illegal detention.

Since corpus is a major and she has stated that she is not in any illegal detention and wants to stay with her parents, we are not inclined to entertain the habeas corpus petition.

¶25

Habeas Corpus Petition is accordingly, dismissed.

Vide order dated 03.07.2023, petitioner was directed to deposit a demand draft of Rs. 10,000/- drawn in favour of corpus. Registrar(Judicial) is directed to handover the demand draft of Rs.10,000/- to counsel for the corpus deposited by the petitioner today itself.

A copy of this order be provided to learned Assistant Govt. Advocate for necessary compliance.
