At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners make a limited prayer that the petitioners may be permitted to submit a representation before the respondent No.2- Superintending Engineer, Water Resources Circle, Sriganganagar may be directed to decide a representation of the petitioners.

This Court deems it appropriate to grant liberty to the petitioners to submit a representation before the respondent No.2Superintending Engineer, Water Resources Circle, Sriganganagar and the respondent No.2 is directed to decide the representation of the petitioners strictly in accordance with law by way of a speaking order within a period of one month from the date of receipt of the speaking order.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Stay petition as well as all other pending applications also stand dismissed.

It is further directed that till the date of passing of speaking order on the representation so made, the interim order dated 19.07.2010 for maintaining the status quo for the parties shall remain in currency.
