Petitioner and respondent No.2, who was accused and informant respectively of the impugned FIR No.191/2021 registered with Police Station Mahila Thana District Ajmer for offences under Sections 498-A, 406, 354 and 504 of IPC, have entered into compromise with each other.

The parties filed a compromise petition before the Court below and the Court below by the impugned order dated 24.02.2023 accepted compounding of other offences except offences under Sections 498-A and 354 of IPC, which are not compoundable as per provision of Section 320 of Cr.P.C.

Considering the fact that parties have settled their matrimonial dispute, continuance of criminal proceedings would be

detrimental to their relationship and would lead to miscarriage of justice, hence the impugned FIR and all subsequent proceedings arising out of the aforesaid FIR are hereby quashed and this petition is allowed.
