The petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with FIR No.148/2022 registered with Police Station Malpura, District Tonk for offences under Sections 420 and 120-B of IPC and Section 66(D) of the Information and Technology Act and Sections 3 and 4 of Rajasthan Public Gambling Ordinance, 1949.

Some other persons were apprehended by the Police in the house of the petitioner, when they were watching cricket match on television and were engaged in betting. It is said that the petitioner fled away from there.

Learned Public Prosecutor has opposed the bail application.

¶16

Considering the nature of allegation against the petitioner and available material, it is directed that the petitioner be released on anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the instant anticipatory bail application stands allowed. It is directed that in the event of arrest or surrender within two weeks, the petitioner above-named shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- with two sureties of like amount with following conditions:-

(i) that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation / trial of the case;

¶22

(ii) that the petitioner shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the court or any police officer, and

¶23

(iii) that the petitioner shall not leave India without prior permission of the Court.
