The appellant is alleged to have murdered his own daughter as an honour killing.

We have heard and considered the submissions advanced by learned counsel Shri Bhatnagar representing the appellant and learned Public Prosecutor and, have gone through the material available record. It is true that the material witnesses did not support the prosecution case and were declared hostile but, there exists significant circumstantial evidence against the appellant in form of incriminating blood stained recoveries and the presumption under Section 106 of the Evidence Act which, in our opinion, at this stage constitute valid and strong reasons so as to deny bail to the appellant during pendency of the appeal.

Hence, the application for Suspension of Sentence is rejected as being devoid of merit.
