The present writ petition has been filed with the grievance that the sports certificate of the petitioner was not considered for his appointment on the post of Patwari.

Condition No.2 under which the petitioner is claiming consideration of his sports certificate specifically provides that the candidate ought to have won a medal in the relevant sport. A perusal of the sports certificate of the petitioner makes it clear that the same is simply a participation certificate and no medal has been won by the petitioner and therefore, in view of the specific condition of the advertisement, the petitioner cannot be held entitled for consideration of his sports certificate.

In view of the above observations, the present writ petition being devoid of merit is dismissed.

The stay application also stands dismissed.
