These two writ petitions were preferred by the petitioners seeking to assail the notices issued by the respondent Income Tax Department under Section 148 of the Income Tax Act. During the pendency of the writ petitions, assessment orders have been passed. Thus, Mr. Sanjeev Johari, learned Senior Advocate,

representing the petitioners, submits that the petitioners would be better advised to withdraw these petitions and raise all their objections against the impugned proceedings in appeals.
Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioners to raise all permissible objections before the appellate authority. The stay applications are also disposed of.
