This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with following prayer:-
“It is therefore humbly prayed that this writ petition may kindly be allowed and by issuing an appropriate writ, order or direction:
a. By issuing an appropriate order or direction in the nature thereof and thereby the respondents be directed to grant Mercy Chance to the petitioner on medical ground for attending the second phase exam steno typing which is going to be held on dated 11.01.2022 to 13.01.2022.

b. Any other appropriate order or direction which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in favour of the petitioner may kindly be passed with cost.”
The facts in brief are that the petitioner remained successful in the first phase of examination for recruitment for the post of Stenographer in pursuance of advertisement dated 04.07.2018 but, could not appear in the second phase of examination scheduled on 30.10.2021 as he fell ill on 29.10.2021.
Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly admitted that he does not have any fundamental or legal right to appear in the second phase of Stenographer examination-2018 which, even otherwise also, has already been held. He could not point out any corresponding legal obligation of the respondent to permit him to appear in the second phase of Stenographer examination-2018.
In view thereof, this writ petition being devoid of merit, is dismissed accordingly.
