The petitioners assert that 45 Bigha land was allotted to them on 01.10.2003 under the provisions of the Rajasthan Gram Dan Act, 1971 (hereinafter referred to “as the Act of 1971”), whereafter, the same was renewed many times but due to absence of president, the same could not be renewed and formal

order could not be passed, as no election for the post of President has taken place since a long time.

Mr. Rathore, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have moved various representations before the Director, Gram Dan Board, Jaipur, and the District Collector but nothing has been done so far.

The present writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the petitioners to address a fresh representation before the competent authority – Director, Gram Dan Board, Jaipur within a period of two weeks along with requisite documents; photostat copies of the representations earlier filed; and a certified copy of the order instant.

In case representation is so addressed, the Director, Gram Dan Board, Jaipur / competent authority shall consider the same, in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the receipt of the representation.

It is made clear that aforesaid direction to decide the representation has been issued only with a view to ensure expeditious redressal of petitioners’ grievance. The same may not be construed to be an order to decide the representation in a particular manner.

The stay application also stands disposed of accordingly.
