The instant miscellaneous petition has been filed by the petitioner who is an old man aged about 87 years seeking certain relief under Section 5 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Senior Citizen Act, 2007.
Considering the overall submission and age of the petitioner as well as the fundamental right of every person to seek speedy trial of the case, I deem it appropriate to allow the instant miscellaneous petition.
Accordingly, the instant miscellaneous petition is disposed of. Stay petition also stands disposed of.
Learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial expeditiously and to conclude it preferably within three months.
