The petitioner has approached this Court with a grievance that the petitioner’s representation dated 27.07.2020 remained unheeded.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondent No.2 – Superintending Engineer to decide his representation expeditiously.

In view of the aforesaid, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to file a representation within a period of two weeks along with photo-stat copy of the representation dated 27.07.2020, a certified copy of the order instant and other documents.

In case a representation is so addressed within the aforesaid period, the respondent No.2 – Superintending Engineer shall do the needful in accordance with law as early as possible, preferably within a period of twelve weeks.

It is made clear that aforesaid direction to decide the representation has been issued only with a view to ensure expeditious redressal of petitioner’s grievance. The same may not be construed to be an order to decide the representation in a particular manner.

The stay application also stands disposed of accordingly.
