In wake of second surge in the COVID-19 cases, abundant caution is being maintained, while hearing the matters in Court, for the safety of all concerned.

The petitioner has preferred present writ petition claiming following relief:-

“ By an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction, Respondents may kindly be directed to decide on the research proposal / synopsis submitted by the petitioners by placing them in the departmental council and thereafter, to complete all the procedure for Ph.D. Registration of the petitioners without any further delay and if found successful, the petitioners may be registered for the award of Doctorate Degree in Physical Education.”

Counsel for the petitioner submits that it shall be suffice if the respondents take final decision regarding their research proposal for Ph.D. registration.

Counsel for the respondent assures the Court that research proposal for the Ph.D. registration shall be dealt with strictly in accordance with law and final decision shall be taken expeditiously.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, the present petition is disposed of while directing the respondents to take necessary decision regarding research proposal for Ph.D. registration within a period of thirty days from today by passing a speaking order, strictly in accordance with law.
