In wake of second surge in the COVID-19 cases, abundant caution is being maintained, while hearing the matters in Court, for the safety of all concerned.

This writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been preferred claiming the following reliefs:

“a) by an appropriate writ, order or direction, the writ petition filed by the petitioner may kindly be allowed. b) by an appropriate writ, order or direction, impugned inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in not considering the case of the

petitioner for grant of appointment in place of her father i.e. deceased government employee on compassionate ground may kindly be held illegal and accordingly, be discarded.

c) by an appropriate writ, order or direction the respondent authorities may kindly be directed to sympathetically consider the case of the petitioner and accordingly, provide appointment to the petitioner on compassionate ground on a suitable post as per her educational qualification forthwith.

d) by an appropriate writ, order or direction, the respondent authorities may kindly be directed to grant all other consequential benefits to the petitioner in accordance with law.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner makes a limited submission that the petitioner would be satisfied if her representation is decided by the respondents by passing a speaking order.

In light of such submission, the present petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to decide the representation of the petitioner by passing a speaking order, within a period of sixty days from today, strictly in accordance with law. All pending applications also stand disposed of.
