In wake of onslaught of COVID-19, abundant caution is being taken while hearing the matters in Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioners at the outset makes a limited submission that the representation pending before the respondent-Deputy Commissioner, JDA for conversion of the land may be decided strictly in accordance with law.

Mr. Ram Dayal, learned Government counsel assures this Court that the respondents shall dispose of the application strictly in accordance with law after the petitioners furnish all the formalities pertaining to the land in question.

In light of the limited submission, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the respondents to pass a reasoned order on the petitioners’ application strictly in accordance with law within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt of the application.

It is needless to say that to arrive at such conclusion, the respondents shall conduct the field verification within such time.

Stay Petition also stands disposed of accordingly.
