The issue agitated in this petition is relates to
promotion of the petitioner from the post of Sub-Inspector to that
of Inspector in the Department of Police. I am of the considered
view that in respect of promotional issue agitated, the petitioner
has an alternative remedy of appeal before the Rajasthan Civil
Services Appellate Tribunal (hereafter ‘the Tribunal’).
Consequently, this petition is accordingly dismissed for
reason of alternate remedy available to the petitioner.

The petitioner shall however be free to take his remedy
of an appeal before the Tribunal or any other direction as he would
be advised.
