This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner aggrieved against the failure of the respondents in not calling the petitioner for PST/PET for recruitment on the post of Constable.
It is inter alia claimed that the petitioner has obtained 35.5 marks, whereas, the cut-off for petitioner’s category was 30.25 and, therefore, the action of the respondents in not calling the petitioner for PST/PET is not justified.
Learned counsel appearing on caveat pointed out that as per the advertisement, the candidates were required to obtain 40% marks in each part of the written paper and from the mark sheet of the petitioner it appears that in part-C, the petitioner has obtained 9 marks which is less than 40% i.e. that for which the petitioner is required to obtain 12 marks and, therefore, on that

count the petitioner has not been called for PST/PET having failed to secure the requisite marks.
From a perusal of the mark sheet (Annex.7) as well as the requirement of Clause-11 of the advertisement (Annex.3), it is apparent that the petitioner was required to obtain 40% marks in each part and he has failed to secure 40% in part-C of the written paper, therefore, it cannot be said that the respondents have committed any mistake in not calling the petitioner for PST/PET.
In view thereof, there is no substance in writ petition. The same is, therefore, dismissed.
