AWARD OF LOK ADALAT

The matter was placed before the Lok Adalat today.
The parties have settled the matter through Lok Adalat as under:-
The MACT, Rajsamand by its judgment and award dated 24.04.2009 in MAC case No. 184/2008 awarded a sum of Rs.90,000/- alongwith interest @ 8% per annum.
With the consent of the parties, the claimant/s would be entitled to further lump sum compensation of Rs.1,00,000/-. The enhanced amount of compensation be paid within a period of two months. In case, the amount is not paid within a period of two months, the Insurance Company would be liable to make payment of interest @ 6% per annum till actual payment on the above amount of compensation from the date of this order.
The enhanced amount of compensation be disbursed in terms of the award in the saving bank account of the claimant/s.
In view of the above, the appeal is disposed of.
The Registry is directed to send back the record forthwith.
