Contempt of the judgment dated 17.5.2017 in S.B. Civil
Writ Petition No. 13492/2014 has been alleged in this petition.
Vide judgment dated 17.5.2017 writ petition at the
instance of petitioner was disposed of with direction to the
Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission, North Region to
pass a detailed speaking order as to why petitioner could not be

permitted to join his services in Uttar Pradesh on the post of
Constable (GD) as he successfully made to the merit list. The Regional Director was also directed to consider the petitioner being permitted to join on the post in issue in his parent state i.e.
State of Rajasthan.
Mr. Ashish Kumar appearing for Mr. RD Rastogi, Addl.
Solicitor General who represents the respondents-contemnors submitted that pursuant to the judgment dated 17.5.2017, a detailed and speaking order dated 14th August, 2017 has been issued under the hand of Deputy Director, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, New Delhi giving out the reasons as to why the petitioner could not be permitted to join the services in Uttar Pradesh as also in the State of Rajasthan. Copy of the order dated 14.8.2017 is taken on record. Mr. Ashish Kumar submitted that in this view of the matter, no contempt, as alleged,
of the judgment dated 17.5.2017 is made out and the petition be
dismissed.

Mr. C.S. Chauhan, counsel for the petitioner is obviously
not in a position to dispute the fact of the petitioner’s
representation having been considered as directed by the court
and dismissed on 14.8.2017.
In view of above, contempt petition is dismissed.
Contempt notices stand discharged.
