Netraheen Sev Sangh Vs State of Raj and Ors.

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, Netraheen Seva Sangh, registered Society under the Rajasthan Societies Registration Act, 1958 inter alia with the prayer that the District Collector, Ajmer be directed to convene meeting of the executive members/members of the Society and conduct the elections of the Society in compliance of order dated 21.08.2013 passed by Director, Directorate of Especially Abled Persons, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur. It is contended that last elections of the Society were held on 26.06.2011 and term of the elected body is only one year, which period has lapsed long ago and despite aforesaid order of the Director dated 21.08.2013, no steps have been taken by the District Collector, Ajmer for conducting the elections.

Having regard to the facts aforesaid, writ petition is disposed of with direction to the District Collector, Ajmer to take steps to make compliance of order dated 21.08.2013 passed by Director, Directorate of Especially Abled Persons, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur and hold elections of the Society within two months from the date of approaching of the petitioner to him along copy of this order.
