The Collector, Jaisalmer while exercising powers under the Rajasthan Land Revenue (Allotment of Land for setting up of Power Plant Based on Renewable Energy Sources) Rules, 2007 passed an order dated 17.6.2012 making allotment of government land to M/s. Vish Wind Infrastructure Limited. To challenge the order aforesaid, this petition for writ is preferred.
According to the petitioners, the land allotted is not open for allotment in view of the provisions of the Rajasthan Tenancy Act, 1954. It is submitted that the land allotted has been recorded as “pasture” in revenue records.
