By this petition for writ, the convict-prisoner is claiming for a direction for the respondents to transfer him at Open Air Camp as per the Rajasthan Prisoners Open Air Camp Rules, 1972 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Rules of 1972'). As per the respondents, the petitioner has not approached the competent authority before approaching this court.
Having considered the statement so made, we deem it appropriate to dispose this petition for writ by directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for admission to Open Air Camp in accordance with the Rules of 1972 on or before 31.07.2014. The respondents shall convey the compliance of this order immediately thereafter. The petition for writ stands disposed of accordingly.
