In the present appeal, chall e nge is to the impugned judg m ent dated 20. 0 9.2023 passed by the learned Single Judge in CWP NO.782 5 of 2016.

been appended as Annexure P-3 and which forms the basis of the relief claimed in the present appeal, has already been quashed by this Court in CWP No. 22592 of 2015 titled “Munish Gupta and others vs. State of Haryana and others” , decided on 28.01.2026. It is, therefore, contended that once the very basis of the claim has ceased to exist, the present appeal does not survive.

Learned counsel for the appellants does not dispute the aforesaid submission.

Accordingly, in view of the fact that the very basis of the present appeal i.e. Letter/Circular No. 6/7/2014-1GSI dated 16.06.2014 (Annexure P-3) has already been quashed by a competent Court of law, the prayer raised in the present appeal cannot be accepted. Consequently, the present appeal stands dismissed.
