All these writ petitions are amenable for being decided through a common verdict on account of their inhering a common question of law for consideration, namely, the entitlement of the petitioners to wages for working on closed Saturdays.

Learned counsel appearing for the parties are ad idem that the issue arising in these writ petitions is squarely covered by the judgment dated 23.08.2017 rendered by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in a bunch of writ petitions led by CWP-4088-2015, titled “Municipal Corporation,

Patiala through its Commissioner vs. Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Patiala and another”. It is submitted that the said judgment has not been assailed and has thus attained finality, and is fully applicable to the facts of the present cases. Accordingly, it is prayed that these writ petitions be disposed of in terms of the said judgment.

In view of the above, these writ petitions are disposed of in terms of the judgment dated 23.08.2017 passed in CWP-4088-2015 ( supra ).
