This is a Civil Writ Petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the respondent no.3 to decide the applications under Section 7 of the Haryana Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961 (hereinafter to be referred to as “1961 Act”) (Annexure P-1 to P-5) pending against the respondents no.4 to 8 within a time bound manner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the eviction petition under Section 7 of the 1961 Act was filed by the Gram Panchayat through the present petitioner on 18.09.2025 and has referred to

repeatedly adjourned without any effective proceedings. It is submitted that in the said circumstances, the Assistant Collector Ist Grade-respondent no.3 be directed to decide the said eviction applications.

Keeping in view the above said facts and circumstances, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.3 to decide the applications for eviction under Section 7 of the 1961 Act (Annexure P-1 to P-5) as expeditiously as possible.
