The petition has been filed, in t er alia , seeking a direction t o respondents n o .1 to 4 not to restrain the petiti o ner from cultivating the land i n question, own e d and possessed by him. 2. Learned counsel for the petitio n er contended that there is n o restraint on the petitioner to cultivate the lan d in question, as the order date d 21.01.2026 p a ssed by learned Additional C ivil Judge (Senior Division) , Fatehgarh Sa h ib, in a civil suit filed by respo n dent no.5 titled Devender Sing h v. Manjit Si n gh , restrains the petitioner ( defendant therein) only fro m alienating the suit property by way of sale an d mortgage. But he is not bein g allowed to cu l tivate his land. Respondent no. 5 is a retired Police Officer an d has filed a co m plaint against the petitioner b e fore the Police, which is bein g inquired into a nd a notice dated 06.06.2026, A nnexure P-6, has been issued t o the petitioner to be present before the Deput y Superintendent of Police, Su b Division, Bas s i Pathana, in that regard.
