T he petition has been filed, inte r alia , seeking a direction to th e respondents to de-freeze/operationalise the petitioner’s accoun t no.159813745302 with the respondent - Indu s Ind Bank Limited in its Branc h at Ground Flo o r 1A 268, NIT New Township , Neelam Bata Road, Faridabad , Haryana.

Learned counsel for the secon d respondent - Manager of th e Bank has file d a short reply, dated 04.07.202 6 , which is retained on the cas e file. Referrin g to the same, he submitted tha t there were some objectionabl e transactions i n the petitioner’s account; instr u ctions were received from th e National Cyb e r Crime Reporting Portal (NC R P) regarding UPI related fraud s involving thi s account. And total fraudul e nt amount transacted in th e petitioner’s ac c ount is ₹2,600.

I n these circumstances, learned c o unsel for the petitioner submit s that the Ban k can operationalise the acco u nt by marking a lien on th e objectionable a mount only.

I n view thereof, the petition is disposed of directing th e respondents t o mark a lien over an amoun t of ₹2,600 in the petitioner’ s account and m ake the account operational o t herwise. The direction shall b e carried out wi t hin a week of receiving a certified copy of this order.
