Present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus seeking direction to respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent No.4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a senior citizen of 80 years old and he was unnecessarily harassed by respondent No.4, who is a property dealer. In this regard, a representation dated 14.01.2026 (Annexure P-6) was submitted, but no action has been taken so far.

Keeping in view the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Superintendent of Police, Ambala, to consider the representation dated 14.01.2026 (Annexure P-6) and after assessing the threat perception of the petitioner, to take steps in accordance with law expeditiously. However, regarding his agreement to sell, the petitioner can exhaust his legal remedy as per law.
