The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 for quashing of FIR No. 507 dated 13.10.2025 under Sections 333, 115(2), 351(2), 126(2), 324(4), 190, 191(3), 151 of BNS and Section 3 of SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, registered at Police Station Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise (Annexures P-2).

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that with the intervention of the respectables of the Society, the matter has indeed been compromised between the parties. He has referred to a copy of the compromise deed in this regard at Annexures P-2.

This Court vide orders dated 30.04.2026 had directed the parties to appear before the trial Court to get their statements recorded and the learned Magistrate was directed to send its report qua the genuineness of the compromise.

Pursuant to the aforesaid order, the parties have appeared before the learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Khadur Sahib, Tarn Taran and

got their statements recorded. A copy of report dated 20.05.2026 has been submitted to the effect that the compromise has been effected between the parties voluntarily and without any coercion or undue influence.

Learned State counsel as well as the counsel for respondents No.2 to 8 have not disputed the factum of compromise between the parties.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record.

In view of the above, no useful purpose would be served to continue with the proceedings before the trial Court in the instant FIR.
