The instant petition under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 (earlier under Section 438 Cr.P.C) has been filed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.0019, dated 05.02.2025 under Section 420 IPC, registered at Police Station Bassi Pathana, District Fatehgarh Sahib.

This Court vide order dated 06.06.2025, while issuing notice of motion, granted the concession of interim bail to the petitioner, subject to his joining the investigation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in pursuance to order dated 06.06.2025, the petitioner has joined the investigation.

Learned State counsel has filed the status report by way of affidavit of Raj Kumar, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Bassi Pathana, District Fatehgarh Sahib, which is taken on record. He stated

that though the petitioner has joined investigation, however some amount is yet to be recovered.

The recovery of the alleged amount is essentially a matter of evidence to be established during the course of investigation and trial. In view of the fact that the petitioner has joined the investigation pursuant to the interim order of this Court and no further custodial interrogation is stated to be required, the interim order dated 06.06.2025 is hereby made absolute.
