The instant petition under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 (earlier under Section 438 Cr.P.C) has been filed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.373, dated 24.08.2024 under Section 318(4), 61(2) of BNS, registered at Police Station Zirakpur, District Mohali.

This Court vide orders dated 29.04.2025 and 01.08.2025 granted the concession of interim bail to the petitioner, subject to his joining the investigation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in pursuance to orders dated 29.04.2025 and 01.08.2025, the petitioner has joined the investigation.

Learned State counsel has filed the status report by way of affidavit of Ghazalpreet Kaur, IPS, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Zirakpur, District SAS Nagar, which is taken on record. He stated

that though the petitioner has joined investigation, however some amount is yet to be recovered.

The recovery of the alleged amount is essentially a matter of evidence to be established during the course of investigation and trial. In view of the fact that the petitioner has joined the investigation pursuant to the interim order of this Court and no further custodial interrogation is stated to be required, the interim orders dated 29.04.2025 and 01.08.2025 are hereby made absolute.
