Present contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of order dated 30.7.2025 (An n exure P-1) passed by a coordinate Bench of this Court in C WP-21525-2025 titled as “Ramandeep Kaur and another vs. St a te of Punjab and others”, whereby the respondents were directed t o “…decide the legal notice dated 27.6.2025, within a period of 6 mo n ths, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonab l e manner. Upon doing so, aft e r notice and hearing offered to them a nd if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if th e orders are adverse to their in t erest, the same shall contain reasons a nd the petitioners shall be f ree to seek legal redress thereupo n .”

At the very outset, learned c ounsel for the respondentsState sub m its that necessary compliance h as been made while passing a Speaki n g Order dated 28.1.2026; th u s, no cause survives in the present p e tition.

Learned counsel for the peti t ioners submits that since the Writ Co u rt order dated 30.7.2025 (Anne x ure P-1) has been complied with wh i le passing a Speaking Ord e r dated 28.1.2026 by the responde n ts-authority, nothing survive s in the present contempt petition a nd the same may be disposed of. Learned counsel submits that libe r ty may be granted to the peti t ioners to challenge the said Speaking Order dated 28.1.2026, as per l a w.

In view of the above note d facts and the submissions made by learned counsel for the petit i oner, the present contempt petition i s disposed of with the liberty af o resaid to the petitioners.
