The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to release the family pension of the petitioner w.e.f. 01.05.2025 with full arrears thereof with interest @ 18% per annum.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that after the death of husband of petitioner, she was eligible for ex-gratia monthly financial assistance for the period w.e.f. 05.02.2019 to 30.04.2025 under Haryana Civil Services (Compassionate Financial Assistance or Appointment) Rules, 2019 and now as per Rule 8(g) of the said rules, she is entitled for Family Pension but despite giving reminders to the respondent authorities, no action has been taken.
