Th e present revision petition has been filed against judgment dated 08.12.20 1 7 vide which petitioner No.2/ D r. Jasbir Singh Mann was convicted and s entenced to undergo rigorous i m prisonment for a period of two years for offence punishable under Sec t ion 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Ac t , 1881 and further ordered hi m to pay compensation under Section 357 C r.P.C. to the tune of the total cheque amount i.e. Rs.10,00,000/- a t the rate of 9% p.a. from the d ate of cheque till 08.12.2017 and judgment dated 26.05.2025 passed by Additional Sessions Judge, Jalandhar, wher e by the appeal filed by the petitioners had been dismissed. 2. It i s to be noted that CRM-M-50726-2025 had earlier been filed by the same petitioners for quashing of the complaint No.33152 dated 07.05.2013, un d er Section 138 of the Negotia b le Instruments Act, 1881 as well as the sa m e judgments and orders that h ave been impugned in the present crimina l revision petition as well. Thi s Court vide judgment dated 19.11.2025, set aside the judgments and ord e rs of the Courts below and compounded t h e offence by invoking Sect i on 147 of the Negotiable
