After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner, on 28.10.2025, following order was passed by this Court:-

“ In the instant quashing petition, on 22.02.2023 following order

“Petitioner is seeking to quash FIR No. 30 dated 27.04.2010 under Sections 324, 336, 323, 382, 148, 149 IPC and under Sections 25/27 of Arms Act (later on offence enhanded under Section 326 IPC), registered at Police Station Dayalpura, District Bathinda.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner was found innocent during the course of enquiry and Annexure P-2 is the report in this regard. Although, other persons were arraigned as accused but as per his instructions, the challan has not been presented against any of the persons till date, though, the FIR was registered wayback on 27.04.2010. Notice of motion.

Ms. Ruchika Sabherwal, DAG Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the State and seeks adjournment to get instructions and submit the reply. Adjourned to 03.05.2023.”

Today, learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Sukhjant Singh, informs that final report has already been submitted to the Court of Ld. Area Magistrate on 10.11.2025, against Manpreet Singh and Deepa Singh. Name of the petitioner has been placed in column No.2, declaring him innocent.

In view of information given by learned State counsel, petitioner’s counsel submits that he does not wish to press the present petition, at this stage.
