“The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to re-issue him passport.
Counsel for the petitioners inter alia contends that this Court vide order dated 06.12.2023 after noticing the fact that this Court has stayed proceedings arising out of FIR No. 37 dated 22.04.2016, under Sections 406 and 498-A of IPC, registered at Police Station, Nurpurbedi, District Rupnagar, directed the petitioners to appear before passport authority on 15.12.2023 alongwith requisite documents. The petitioners appeared before passport authority, however, vide communication dated 01.01.2024, the said authority
