of petitione r no. 1 was pledged with ICICI, Bank Jhajjar in August 2014 b y respondent a nd his family and physical a n d mental torture to petitione r no.1 contin u ed. Father of respondent even tried to outrage her modesty, when petiti o ner no.1 disclosed this fact to the respondent, she was give n severe beati n gs. She got admitted in Civil H o spital Jhajjar and thereafter sh e was referre d to PGI Rohtak and remained a d mitted there till 10.02.2016 du e to multiple i njuries. The matter was again settled between the parties o n the request o f brotherhood. On 06.04.2016, again father of the responden t repeated th e same conduct. She was again given severe beatings. She ha d to get admi t ted in Government Hospital J h ajjar on the said date and sh e moved the a pplication to the police in that regard. Since then, she is livin g at her pare n tal house with petitioner no.2. ……” Accordingly, maintenanc e amount of R s .50,000/- was claimed by the r e spondents along with litigatio n expenses of Rs.11,000/-. Vide the impugne d order, maintenance has bee n awarded only to the respondent No.2/min o r daughter keeping in mind th e fact that the respondent No.1 is working an d earning her own living.
