Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for pas s ing of appropriate order to m e et the ends of justice and for quashing o f FIR No. 83 dated 15.06.201 7 , under Sections 363, 366 and 120-B IP C and Sections 3 and 4 of the t h e Protection of Children from Sexual O f fences Act, 2012 at Police S t ation Guru Harsahai, District Ferozepur , on the basis of comprom i se/affidavit dated 23.06.2017 (Annexur e P-4) of the complainant/father o f the victim.

Learned counsel for the Stat e has referred to the averments made in p a ra No. 6 of the status report d a ted 12.08.2024 filed by way of affidavit o f Sh. Atul Soni, Deputy S u perintendent of Police (SD), Guruhars a hai, as per which the second c a ncellation report in the matter has been prepared on 20.02.2024 b y the SHO, Police Station Guruhars a hai; and the same has been s ent before the Higher Police

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is unable place on r ecord copy of marriage certi f icate of petitioner No. 3 with responden t No. 3/victim in terms of orde r dated 13.08.2024 as, he is not able to establish contact with the petition e rs, despite his best efforts. It is, however, p rayed that in view of the abo v e noted averments made in the status rep o rt dated 12.08.2024, the present petition may be disposed of.
