As a ma�er of fact, on 13.03.2023, the complainant Surjit Singh son of Jarnail Singh resident of village Chak Balocha Wala alias Mahalam tehsil Jalalabad District Fazilka got recorded his statement with the then D.S.P. Vigilance, Unit Fazilka wherein he stated that he is an agriculturist by profession. His father are four brothers, who took land measuring 08 kanals 16 marlas belonging to Wakf Board on lease. The lease deed was scribed in the name of his Uncle (Taaya) Karnail Singh and the lease money was being paid by all the four brothers. All the four brothers divided land in 04 shares, a6er leaving 16 marlas land for Dargah of Peer Baba. In 02 kanals of land under his possession, he constructed a pucca house in the year 2009. About four years ago, his father had died and therea6er, his Uncle Karnail Singh started harassing and compelling him to hand over possession of said 02 kanals of land to him. In order to get changed lease deed of 02 kanals of land in the name of his wife Veerpal Kaur, when the complainant and his wife visited the office of Wakf Board, Fazilka, two employees of said office met them. One of them told his name as Nazar Ali (pe��oner) and the another person told his name as Inderjeet Sharma Patwari. In lieu of changing lease deed of the said land, they demanded bribe money of Rs.60,000/-. When he showed his inability to pay the said amount, Nazar Ali forcibly took Rs.5,000/- from him as bribe money and asked him that as and when he (complainant) will arrange more money and relevant documents, they will get the documents prepared in the name of his wife. Then he falsely promised to pay Rs.10,000/- more on 13.03.2023. He further stated that therea6er he decided to report the ma�er to Vigilance department and ul�mately, the ma�er was reported to Vigilance department. The said statement dated 13.03.2023 was endorsed by Veerpal Kaur wife of Surjeet Singh and was a�ested by the deponent. On the basis of said statement, present FIR was registered against Nazar Ali and Inderjeet Sharma Patwari (private person). Therea6er, the complainant produced Rs.10000/- also in the denomina�on of Rs.500/- and produced the audio recording of conversa�on between pe��oner, complainant Surjit Shigh, Veerpal Kaur and Inderjeet Sharma and audio recording of conversa�on between Surjit Kaur wife of complainant and accused Inderjeet Sharma dated 08.03.2023. Therea6er, official witnesses Parvinder Kumar, Principal, Govt. Senior Secondary School, Hasta Kalan and Bhola Singh, Junior Engineer, Sewerage Board Abohar were joined in raiding party and were apprised of the facts of the case. Aforesaid audio recordings noted above were played in the presence of said witnesses and its transcripts were also prepared. Translated versions of the said Transcripts are annexed herewith as Annexure R-1/T and Annexure R-2/T for the kind considera�on of this Hon’ble Court.
