The instant petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of interim bail for ten days to the petitioner in case FIR No.0173 dated 01.09.2021 under Sections 376, 120-B, 506 IPC & Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act registered at Police Station Talwandi Sabo, District Bathinda on account of the marriage of her brother to be solemnized on 24.11.2021.

On the asking of the court, Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice. She, on instructions from SI Renu, has verified that the marriage of the petitioner's brother is indeed due to be solemnized on 24.11.2021. She has submitted that the charges have not yet been framed in the case in hand. Hence, the petitioner be not extended the concession of
interim bail for 10 days as prayed for.

The prayer of the petitioner for grant of interim bail for ten days is declined. However, she is granted interim bail only for one day i.e. 24.11.2021, to attend the marriage of her brother at village Akhbarpur Khudal (Mansa). The petitioner shall be taken under police escort to the venue of the wedding at Mansa on 24.11.2021 at 8.00 am and would be escorted back to the Jail where she is presently lodged on the same day by 6.00 pm. All travel expenses incurred by the authorities concerned, shall be borne by the petitioner.
The petition is disposed of accordingly.
