Through instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for expunging the remarks “benefit of doubt” and using the words “honourably acquitted” in judgment dated 29.01.2018 of the trial Court, acquitting the petitioner in case FIR No.203 dated 08.07.2013 registered under Sections 384, 511, 120-B IPC pertaining to Police Station Focal Point, Ludhiana.
Heard.
There is no proposition of law, wherein accused is liable to be acquitted “honourably”. Accused can only be acquitted on technical grounds by giving benefit of doubt. Hence, this petition being meritless is dismissed.
