Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, in a case arising out of FIR No.71 dated 24.05.2016, registered at Police Station Lehra, District Sangrur, who has been booked for having committed the offences punishable under Sections 419, 494, 498-A and 120-B IPC.

The allegations against the petitioner are that he has solemnized the second marriage with one Neelam Kumari after changing his name to Nishan Singh and he has also misappropriated the dowry articles of the complainant.

was granted to the petitioner to enable him to join the investigation. Thereafter, the matter was referred to the Lok Adalat, vide order dated 10.08.2016 to enable the parties to settle the disputes. On 23.09.2016, the case was sent back to this Court for further adjudication as the conciliation efforts between the parties have not been materialized.

Learned counsel for the complainant submits that the petitioner is in arrears of maintenance of about `3 lacs but this fact is refuted by learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the totality of the facts and circumstances of the case, order dated 17.06.2016, passed by this Court whereby the ad-interim anticipatory bail was granted to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to the condition that the petitioner deposit a sum of `3 lacs in the shape of FDR in the name of the complainant, before the trial Court, within a period of four weeks, from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and the said amount will be adjusted towards arrears of maintenance at the final stage of the trial. Moreover, the petitioner shall continue to join the investigation as and when required to do so and abide by all the conditions as envisaged under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.

Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of.
