The short grievance of the petitioner in the instant writ petition is that there are several persons in his village allegedly living below poverty line to whom plots measuring 100 square yard have been allotted twice. It is averred that the private-respondents are amongst those to whom plots were allotted earlier in the year 1996 and again they have secured allotments in the year 2011. The petitioner is alleged to have made a complaint to the authorities against such an illegal exercise but finding no response, he got served a legal notice dated 08.11.2014 (Annexure P-11). Since there was no response thereto, the instant writ petition has been filed.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and considering the nature of relief sought by him but without expressing any views on the merits of the allegations moreso when we have not heard the private-respondents and the

Gram Panchayat at this stage, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the Deputy Commissioner, Sonepat, to depute a senior officer not below the rank of B.D.P.O., to verify the facts and take necessary action as may be required after observing the principles of natural justice. The needful shall be done within a period of six months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
