This petition has been filed for quashing the

notifications dated 17.5.1990 and 16.5.1991 issued under Sections
4 and 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, Annexures P/4 and P/5,
respectively.

 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

petitioner has constructed his house and a shop over the land in
question and the possession is still with him. Learned counsel
further submits that no compensation has been received by the
petitioner till date.

 After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner, this
writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No.2
and 3 to decide the question as to whether the possession has
been taken or not and whether the compensation has been paid to
