Learned counsel submits that although
notifications were issued under Sections 4 and 6 of the
Land Acquisition Act, 1894 on 23.08.2007 and 21.08.2008 but
till date the possession of the land acquired is with the
petitioner and no compensation has been received by him.
Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner has made
representation (Annexure P-5) but the same has not been decided
by the authorities concerned.
After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner,
we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to
respondent No.1 to decide the representation moved by the
petitioner expeditiously and, preferably, within a period of
three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of

this order. Further, in case there is any construction on the
land of the petitioner, the same shall not be demolished till
decision of the said representation.
