The present writ petition was admitted and ordered to be listed for regular hearing alongwith CWP No. 12027 of 1994, Jit Singh vs. State of Punjab. The said case was disposed of on 30.09.2013 in the presence of the present counsel for respondent no. 4, Mr. Gurnam Singh, Advocate and the order reads as under:-
“After arguing the case at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for permission to withdraw the instant petition with liberty to avail the alternative remedy of filing a revision before the competent authority.
Disposed of with the liberty aforesaid. In case such a revision petition is filed, the competent authority shall decide the same on merits.”

In the present case, challenge is to the transfer of Accountants. The Board, in its reply, has averred that there is an alternate remedy of revision under Section 42 of the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961. Jeet Singh, who was petitioner in the said case, is arrayed as respondent no. 4 in the present case. In the written statement, it is also mentioned that respondent no. 4 had challenged the decision by way of CWP No. 12027 of 1994.
In such circumstances, the present petition is also disposed of in the above said terms. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the said order by filing the revision petition.
