Challenge in the present Writ Petition is to orders dated 20.03.1998 (Annexure P10), 20.03.1998 (Annexure P11), 18.12.1998 (Annexure P13) and 08.01.1999 (Annexure P14) whereby the Transport Department had sought deposits of certain amounts towards Late Registration Fee, Temporary Permit Fee, Composition Fee etc. with further prayer that a direction be given to respondents not to charge any penal amount from the petitioner and to pass the vehicles of petitioner for registration.
Upon notice, reply has been filed by the respondents stating that the State Transport Appellate Tribunal at Ambala has been constituted vide Notification No.S.O. 135/CA 59/1988/S89/98 dated 20.09.1998, Annexure R1

issued under Sub Section (2) of Section 89 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The petitioners are at liberty to get their disputes decided by approaching the said Tribunal. The writ petition was admitted on 10.10.2000. As per the interim order dated 03.08.1999 passed by this Court, the operation of the impugned orders were stayed.
Since the Tribunal has been constituted, this Writ Petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the said Tribunal if the grievance still survives.
