Learned State counsel submits that present petition has been rendered infructuous as same was filed to impugn removal of the petitioner from the post of Sarpanch vide order dated 16.7.2001.According to him, no cause of action survives in this petition due to lapse of time. None has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner to controvert the aforesaid contention. Writ petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
